NotesToAudio ("we," "our," or "us"), published by Sarvaartma Media Solutions LLP, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how your data, permissions, and privacy choices are handled when using our mobile application (the "Service").
1. Data Storage & Server Processing
Local Note Storage: All your text notes, uploaded images, audio files, and generated study materials are stored strictly on your device. We do not maintain user databases or store your personal documents on our servers.
AI Processing Pipeline: When you use features like summarization, translation, quizzes, or text generation, your text content is sent securely to third-party AI providers (OpenRouter and Google Gemini) strictly to process your request. Once processed, your content is not stored on those servers.
2. No Accounts & Anonymous Device Identification
No Sign-Up Required: You can use NotesToAudio completely free without creating an account or logging in.
No Personal Data Collected: We do not collect or store personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, phone number, or email address.
Anonymous Device ID: The app may use a temporary, anonymous device identifier solely to enforce fair-use limits on AI processing and prevent platform abuse.
3. Device Permissions & Action-Based Access
NotesToAudio requests specific device permissions only when you explicitly invoke a feature:
Camera & Photos: Used only when you choose to scan physical documents, images, or handwritten text for OCR and graphology features.
Microphone: Used only when you trigger voice-based actions or audio recording tools.
Media / Storage: Used locally to save generated audio files to your device.
4. Data Retention & Security
Because your notes and files are stored locally on your device, you retain 100% control over your data. Deleting a note inside the app or uninstalling NotesToAudio permanently removes all associated data from your device. We use standard HTTPS encryption to secure all transit between the app and AI processing APIs.
5. Children’s Privacy
NotesToAudio is an educational tool suitable for students of all ages. Because we do not collect personal information, track users across the web, or require account registration, the app is safe for children.
